With your good wishes, the National Interventional Council Meeting was held on 21-22nd April in Nirma University Campus at Ahmedabad. Salient features of the meeting were as follows:
- The meeting was attended by more than 700 interventional cardiologists.
- The whole program was managed strictly as per scheduled time limit. For this a large part of the credit goes to Mr. G. Padmnabhan – Chief Scientific Anchor & Protocol Advisor – Academic Sessions.
- The program was highly appreciated by both senior and eminent Interventional Cardiologists, not only for the content but also for the quality of interaction and comments.
- It was decided unanimously that henceforth there would be quarterly i.e. three monthly data submission so that we do not wait for the year end to engage in this important activity. As one quarter of 2007 has already gone by, and the end of the second quarter is already approaching fast, I am sure your team would have started collating all the interesting and varied data of the vascular interventions done under your leadership during this time. Kindly have the data for the first quarter entered on the website. Please also make sure that you enter all the sections related to all the cases done at your center. Please also ensure complete uploading of data from your center but at the same time please also take care to avoid duplications which may occur by duplicate entry from the other members in your dept. / hospital who may have registered separately. I am sure you will agree that complete and authentic data of our country will go a long way in fulfilling the primary purpose of creation of this website. Your active cooperation is solicited in this venture.
- Some interesting cases are being uploaded on the website for the expert opinion of Interventional Cardiologists who were not able to attend the meeting.
- Some advertisements of various products used during Interventions are also available on website. These advertisements can be accessed only when a registered member on the website logs in with username and password.
- Some important links are also available on website for the ready reference of the Interventional Cardiologists.
- We have provided a new facility of visitor’s login for team members of registered institution for the purpose of viewing interesting cases and advertisements available on website.
